About us
Our Story
With the aim to facilitate the release of stress, fatigue, and emotional pain as well as the adding of joy and positive energy to the mental health of Vietnamese people, BasicNeeds Viet Nam was founded in 2010 to establish a system that support community development and nurturing the Vietnamese people’s mental health.
Our Goals
- Provide training services on the detection, treatment, and rehabilitation of common mental illnesses such as stress, anxiety and depression.
- Raise people’s awareness on mental health and psychological aspects of life so that people can detect and find the most suitable ways to resolve their own problems.
- Collaborate with businesses, schools, youth unions, and student associations… to organize conferences aimed at sharing updated scientific knowledge on mental health issues, equipping children, students, and the employed with necessary skills to detect and deal with common mental illnesses such as stress, depression, and anxiety.
- Provide quality community based mental health care services.
Our Projects
BN has developed a Model for Mental Health and Development which employs a developmental approach to community-based mental health intervention with an emphasis on sustainability. BN recognizes that the only way to bring about and sustain positive change for poor people is to concurrently address related health, social, and economic concerns.
